About Mrs.Schaller
Karen Schaller grew up in Mt. Prospect, IL. She graduated from Indiana University with an Associates Degree in Optometric Technology. From there she went to Ferris State University to get her Bachelor Degree in Allied Health Education. After working 20 years in the field of ophthalmology, she was drawn to the teaching ministry. Karen attended SMSU and received an Elementary Education Certificate in January 2004. She has taught at SLS for 8 years.
 
Karen's two grown daughters attended SLS from pre-school through 8th grade. Stephanie is a Doctor of Family Medicine  and Kimberly teaches Special Education at Republic Middle School. Karen’s husband, Michael, is a pharmacist and works for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company.
